Augmented reality is helping users do everything from dissecting animals (minus the actual animal) to wearing funny hats (and mustaches) during video calls. For many, they don’t even realize the app or program they’re using is AR — they just know it’s cool.

Augmented reality is a cool and popular technique where you view the world through a device (like your iPhone camera, or Microsoft HoloLens), and the device overlays extra information on top of the real-world view.

Sometimes alternatively called Mixed Reality. For example, what are your thoughts on decorating your home? Using fixed position cameras, it becomes easier to overlay additional objects within a room like a flower pot, book shelves or some decorative pieces in the corners and see if its fit there looking good or not!!🤔 Or when you take a picture of yourself with a virtual top hat and a moustache to share with your friends and followers.
